Job Summary The Waiter/Waitress will provide attentive and professional service to guests from the moment they arrive until they complete their dining experience. The successful candidates will take orders accurately, serve food and beverages promptly, respond to guest requests, and maintain high standards of service. You will work closely with the kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure smooth restaurant operations and create a welcoming experience for every customer. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and assist them with seating and menu selection. Present menus and provide clear information about available meals, beverages, and daily specials. Take customer orders accurately and communicate them promptly to the kitchen or bar. Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally. Check on guests regularly to ensure they are satisfied with their meals and service. Respond promptly and courteously to customer questions, requests, and concerns. Provide accurate information about menu items, ingredients, and preparation options when required. Ensure tables remain clean, organised, and properly set throughout service. Clear and reset tables promptly after guests finish their meals. Process customer bills and payments accurately in accordance with company procedures. Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery. Monitor customer needs and provide attentive service throughout the dining experience. Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate complex issues to the supervisor when necessary. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, grooming, and professional appearance. Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards. Assist with opening and closing restaurant duties as required. Support other team members during busy service periods. Maintain a positive and welcoming attitude toward all customers and colleagues. Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor or management. Qualification Required & Experience HND qualification in Hospitality Management, Catering, Food and Beverage Management, or a related field. Previous experience as a waiter, waitress, restaurant attendant, or in a similar hospitality role will be an advantage. Strong customer service and communication skills. Friendly, courteous, and professional approach to customer service. Good listening and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Good attention to detail and order accuracy. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good numerical skills for handling customer bills and payments. Ability to remain calm and professional when handling customer concerns. Good knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices. Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and willing to learn.
