We are looking for skilled, hands-on, and dependable Technical Operators & Technicians to join our team in Accra. Job Summary The Technical Operators & Technicians will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and support the efficient performance of bottling, packaging, and production equipment. The successful candidates will identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation faults, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and support production teams in minimizing equipment downtime. You will play an important role in maintaining reliable production operations while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), workplace safety requirements, and company standards. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor bottling, packaging, and production lines safely and efficiently. Carry out routine inspections of machinery and production equipment. Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime. Perform corrective maintenance and respond promptly to equipment breakdowns. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation faults. Identify the root causes of recurring equipment failures and recommend practical solutions. Maintain and troubleshoot fillers, blow moulders, labellers, packers, conveyors, and related production equipment. Monitor equipment performance and report technical issues promptly. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to diagnose faults and carry out repairs. Support the installation, testing, commissioning, and adjustment of production equipment when required. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, equipment records, service reports, and technical documentation. Monitor and maintain adequate stocks of critical spare parts and maintenance materials. Coordinate with technical support teams and spare-parts suppliers when specialized assistance or components are required. Work closely with production teams to reduce downtime and maintain production targets. Follow equipment manufacturers’ instructions and approved maintenance procedures. Ensure all maintenance and operational activities comply with GMP, HACCP, health, safety, and environmental requirements. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Escalate major technical issues to supervisors or relevant engineering personnel. Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives aimed at increasing equipment efficiency and production reliability. Educational Requirements HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution. Additional technical certifications or specialized training in industrial machinery, automation, PLCs, or maintenance will be an advantage. Experience and Technical Requirements Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in beverage, bottled-water, preform manufacturing, or a similar industrial manufacturing environment. Strong practical knowledge of fillers, blow moulders, labellers, packers, conveyors, and related production equipment. Good understanding of PLC systems and industrial automation. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance practices. Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs under production pressure. Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance programs. Good understanding of production-line operations and equipment safety. Ability to use maintenance tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments safely and correctly.
