We are looking for hardworking, responsible, and detail-oriented Stores Officers to join our team in Tamale. The successful candidates will play an important role in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper product handling, and supporting efficient warehouse and cold-room operations. Key Responsibilities The Stores Officer will: Receive incoming frozen food products and verify quantities, specifications, condition, and supporting documentation. Inspect received products and promptly report shortages, damages, quality concerns, or discrepancies. Record all incoming and outgoing stock accurately in the relevant inventory systems and records. Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records and monitor inventory levels. Arrange and organize products systematically within the warehouse and cold-room facilities. Ensure products remain properly stored under appropriate temperature and handling conditions. Monitor product movement, transfers, stock balances, and inventory transactions. Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile results with inventory records. Investigate and report stock discrepancies and support corrective actions. Ensure proper product labelling, dating, identification, and storage. Apply appropriate stock rotation practices, including FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and, where applicable, LIFO (Last-In, First-Out) principles. Monitor product condition throughout storage and report expired, damaged, deteriorated, or spoiled products promptly. Prepare and submit accurate daily and weekly stock reports. Maintain proper documentation for receipts, issues, transfers, returns, adjustments, and other inventory transactions. Work closely with the Sales, Operations, and Accounts teams to ensure smooth stock availability and accurate inventory information. Support order preparation and ensure products issued from the store match approved documentation. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and organization within the warehouse and cold-room areas. Follow established procedures for cold-chain management, stock handling, workplace safety, and inventory control. Safeguard company inventory and promptly report any suspected loss, damage, theft, or unauthorized movement of stock. Perform other stores and inventory-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management. Qualifications & Experience Candidates should have: A Degree, Diploma, or HND in Stores Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Previous experience in a warehouse, cold store, supermarket, frozen food, FMCG, or distribution environment will be an advantage. Good knowledge of stock management, inventory control, and warehouse practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic computer applications. Good numerical, analytical, and record-keeping skills. Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and work with stock documentation. Ability to work effectively in a cold-room environment.
