The restaurant is seeking a responsible, alert, professional, and customer-friendly Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, management, and property. The successful candidate will remain vigilant, respond appropriately to security concerns, monitor activities within and around the restaurant, and support the team in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. Role Overview As a Security Officer, you will protect the restaurant’s premises, people, equipment, and property while maintaining a professional and approachable presence. You will monitor access to the premises, identify potential security risks, respond to incidents, and work closely with restaurant management and staff to maintain a secure operating environment. Key Responsibilities Monitor the restaurant premises, entrances, exits, parking areas, and surrounding areas. Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout assigned shifts. Control access to restricted areas and ensure only authorized individuals enter. Monitor customers, staff, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with restaurant procedures. Observe CCTV systems and other security equipment where available. Identify unusual activities, potential security risks, or suspicious behaviour and respond appropriately. Conduct regular patrols of designated areas. Protect restaurant property, equipment, inventory, and other assets. Prevent unauthorized removal or misuse of company property. Respond promptly and calmly to security incidents, emergencies, disturbances, or safety concerns. Report incidents, accidents, suspicious activities, and security breaches to management immediately. Maintain accurate security logs, incident reports, visitor records, and other required documentation. Support the restaurant team in managing difficult or disruptive situations professionally. Assist with crowd management during busy periods, special events, and other high-traffic occasions. Monitor opening and closing procedures and ensure the premises remain secure. Support emergency procedures, evacuations, and other safety measures when required. Liaise with management and relevant emergency or security authorities when necessary. Maintain confidentiality regarding restaurant operations, customers, employees, and security matters. Follow all restaurant security, safety, health, and emergency procedures. Maintain a respectful and professional attitude when interacting with guests and employees. Perform other security and safety-related duties assigned by management. Qualifications & Experience Applicants with relevant security experience will be given preference. Previous experience in security, hospitality, restaurants, hotels, retail, or a similar environment will be an advantage. No previous experience? Training is available for suitable applicants. Strong observation and situational-awareness skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Physically fit and able to remain alert throughout assigned shifts. Honest, reliable, disciplined, and punctual. Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and security protocols. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, where required.
