We are looking for an experienced, people-focused, and strategic Program Lead to provide leadership for our Ghana operations. Job Summary The Program Lead will take ownership of the day-to-day delivery, quality, growth, and strategic development of AIT Ghana. The successful candidate will lead the Ghana team, strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, improve program systems, and represent Sankofaech within Ghana’s technology and innovation ecosystem. The role requires a confident leader who can translate strategy into action, build strong partnerships, develop high-performing teams, and ensure consistent delivery across programs. Key Responsibilities Own and oversee the day-to-day delivery, quality, performance, and growth of AIT Ghana. Develop and execute strategies that strengthen program impact, sustainability, and growth in Ghana. Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the Ghana team to achieve strong individual and organizational performance. Establish clear goals, performance expectations, processes, and accountability systems for the team. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with technology employers, universities, government institutions, industry organizations, and other key stakeholders. Represent Sankofatech as a senior and credible voice within Ghana’s technology, education, innovation, and skills-development ecosystem. Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior external stakeholders and strategic partners. Identify emerging opportunities, trends, and partnerships that can strengthen Sankofatech’s presence and impact in Ghana. Put effective systems, processes, and tools in place to support consistent, efficient, and high-quality program delivery. Monitor program performance and use data, feedback, and insights to identify areas for improvement. Work closely with Executive Leadership and the Board to shape strategy, priorities, and long-term direction. Translate strategic objectives into clear operational plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes. Provide regular performance updates, insights, and recommendations to Executive Leadership and the Board. Manage program risks, challenges, dependencies, and emerging issues and take timely corrective action. Promote a culture of collaboration, ownership, innovation, learning, and continuous improvement. Ensure programs meet agreed quality standards, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. Support resource planning and ensure that teams have the tools and support required to deliver effectively. Champion Sankofatech’s mission, values, and reputation across Ghana’s technology ecosystem. Qualification Required & Experience Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in program management, operations, education, technology, innovation, consulting, or a related field. At least 3 years of remote work experience, with demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams and manage virtual collaboration effectively. Proven experience leading, managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams. Demonstrated track record of owning a program, function, or business area from strategy through execution and measurable results. Strong experience building and managing relationships with senior external stakeholders. Deep familiarity with Ghana’s technology, education, innovation, digital-skills, or entrepreneurship ecosystem. Strong understanding of program delivery, stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and operational management. Demonstrated ability to work with senior executives, boards, partners, and other influential stakeholders. Strong strategic thinking combined with excellent execution and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong project and program management capabilities. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment. Strong commercial and organizational awareness, with the ability to identify opportunities and turn them into actionable initiatives. Must be based in Ghana or able to work primarily from Ghana.
