As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly organised, commercially aware and proactive Procurement & Logistics Officer to support the efficient sourcing, movement and availability of products, equipment, materials and other business resources. This role offers an opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to work across procurement, supplier management, inventory and logistics while contributing directly to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Role Overview The Procurement & Logistics Officer will coordinate the company’s procurement and logistics activities, ensuring that products, equipment and materials are sourced at the right quality, cost and time and delivered efficiently to the required location. You will manage supplier relationships, support purchasing decisions, monitor inventory levels, coordinate deliveries and maintain accurate procurement and logistics records. The successful candidate will combine strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, negotiation ability and attention to detail to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the company’s procurement and logistics activities in line with operational requirements. Identify, evaluate and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and service providers. Source products, equipment, electrical materials, solar components, technology products and other required items. Obtain and compare supplier quotations based on price, quality, availability, delivery time and payment terms. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favourable commercial terms. Prepare purchase orders, procurement requests and other relevant purchasing documentation. Ensure that approved purchases meet specified quality, quantity and technical requirements. Track purchase orders from placement through supplier fulfilment and final delivery. Coordinate local and, where applicable, international shipments and deliveries. Arrange transportation and ensure products reach customers, project sites, warehouses or other designated locations on schedule. Monitor delivery timelines and proactively address delays, shortages or other logistics issues. Maintain accurate records of suppliers, quotations, purchase orders, deliveries and procurement transactions. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent stock-outs and unnecessary overstocking. Support regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory against records. Investigate and report discrepancies, damaged goods, shortages and other inventory issues. Coordinate with sales, operations, technical and finance teams to understand product and material requirements. Support project teams by ensuring that required equipment and materials are available when needed. Verify delivered goods against purchase orders, invoices and delivery documentation. Coordinate the return or replacement of defective, damaged or incorrect products with suppliers. Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and value for money. Maintain an up-to-date supplier database and assess supplier performance regularly. Support supplier performance reviews based on quality, pricing, responsiveness and delivery reliability. Ensure procurement activities follow approved company policies, authorisation procedures and internal controls. Maintain accurate documentation for audit, financial and management reporting purposes. Coordinate with finance to ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and payments. Support import and customs-related documentation where applicable. Monitor logistics expenses and identify opportunities to optimise transportation and delivery costs. Provide regular procurement and logistics reports to management. Identify potential supply-chain risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures. Maintain a professional, collaborative and ethical relationship with suppliers and service providers. Perform other procurement, inventory and logistics duties assigned by management. Qualifications & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field. Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics, supply chain or a related role. Previous experience within technology, electrical, engineering, solar, construction or technical products will be an advantage. Practical experience sourcing products, negotiating with suppliers and managing purchase orders. Strong understanding of procurement processes, inventory management and logistics coordination. Experience managing supplier relationships and evaluating supplier performance. Experience coordinating deliveries and working with transport providers and logistics partners. Good understanding of inventory control, stock reconciliation and warehouse processes. Strong negotiation and cost-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. Experience using procurement, inventory or enterprise resource planning systems will be an advantage. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
