The school is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join its teaching team. Job Summary The Mathematics Teacher will plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across the school’s Creche to Junior High School (JHS) levels. The successful candidate will create a positive learning environment, assess student progress, provide appropriate support, and help students develop strong mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver effective Mathematics lessons appropriate to students’ age, ability, and learning needs. Teach Mathematics from Creche through Junior High School in accordance with the school’s curriculum and academic objectives. Develop engaging lesson plans, learning activities, exercises, and teaching materials. Explain mathematical concepts clearly and use practical examples to improve students’ understanding. Assess students regularly through classwork, assignments, tests, examinations, and other appropriate methods. Monitor student performance and identify areas that require additional support. Provide appropriate academic guidance and support to students who experience learning difficulties. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, performance, assessments, and progress. Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment. Encourage students to develop confidence, critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Use appropriate teaching methods and educational resources to make Mathematics engaging and accessible. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students’ academic progress and development when required. Participate actively in staff meetings, school activities, professional development programmes, and other school events. Collaborate with other teachers and school management to support students’ overall academic and personal development. Maintain professional standards and uphold the school’s policies, values, and code of conduct. Requirements and Qualifications Minimum of a Diploma, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field. Demonstrated experience working as a school teacher. Strong knowledge of Mathematics and the ability to teach mathematical concepts effectively across different age groups. Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in working with children. Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet different learning abilities and needs. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
