Job Summary Nanny Express Agency is seeking a proactive, people-focused, and organized Human Resource Officer to join its team in Lartebiokoshie. The successful candidate will support the agency’s human resource activities, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, performance management, personnel records, and HR administration. The role will also involve supporting the recruitment and placement of qualified nannies and childcare professionals while ensuring that HR processes remain organized, professional, and aligned with the agency’s standards. Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Selection Manage recruitment activities for nannies, caregivers, and internal staff. Prepare and publish job advertisements through appropriate recruitment channels. Review applications and shortlist candidates based on established requirements. Conduct initial candidate screenings and coordinate interviews. Verify candidate information, references, qualifications, and relevant documentation. Maintain an organized database of prospective and active caregivers. Coordinate the onboarding process for successful candidates. Support management in identifying and attracting qualified candidates. Employee & Caregiver Relations Serve as a professional point of contact for employees and caregivers on HR-related matters. Build positive working relationships with staff, caregivers, and management. Respond to employee concerns and direct complex matters to management when necessary. Promote professional conduct, teamwork, accountability, and respect within the workplace. Support the resolution of workplace concerns in a fair and professional manner. Communicate company policies, procedures, and expectations clearly to employees and caregivers. HR Administration & Records Maintain accurate and confidential employee and caregiver records. Prepare employment letters, contracts, HR forms, reports, and other personnel documents. Monitor employee and caregiver documentation to ensure records remain complete and up to date. Maintain accurate records of attendance, leave, training, performance, and other HR activities. Update HR databases and personnel files regularly. Protect confidential employee and organizational information. Prepare routine HR reports and provide relevant information to management. Onboarding & Training Coordinate orientation and onboarding activities for new employees and caregivers. Ensure new hires understand company policies, procedures, responsibilities, and workplace expectations. Identify training and development needs in consultation with management. Coordinate relevant training activities and maintain appropriate training records. Support initiatives that improve employee engagement and professional development. Performance & Compliance Support the implementation of performance management processes. Assist managers in setting performance expectations and monitoring employee progress. Maintain records relating to performance reviews and disciplinary matters. Ensure HR activities follow company policies and applicable employment requirements. Support management in maintaining a professional, safe, and respectful workplace. Assist with HR audits and compliance reviews when required. Workplace Culture & Staff Support Promote a positive, inclusive, and welcoming workplace culture. Organize staff engagement activities and initiatives where appropriate. Encourage effective communication between employees, caregivers, and management. Identify opportunities to improve employee satisfaction and retention. Support management in developing initiatives that strengthen teamwork and employee engagement. Requirements A Degree or relevant professional qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in human resources, recruitment, administration, or a related role is an advantage. Strong understanding of recruitment and employee-management practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-management abilities. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and candidate information. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Professional, approachable, proactive, and people-oriented. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. Experience in recruitment or staffing within childcare, hospitality, domestic services, or a related sector is an advantage.
