FIELD EXTENSION OFFICERSOrganization: Alliance Cocoa Program Location: 7 Regions Across Ghana Employment Type: Full-Time About Alliance Cocoa Program Alliance Cocoa Program Ltd is expanding its field operations and seeking motivated individuals to join its team in supporting cocoa farmers and strengthening cocoa farm logistics across seven regions of Ghana. The organization works closely with cocoa-growing communities to strengthen farmer support, improve field operations, and promote efficient and sustainable cocoa production. We are looking for energetic, responsible, and field-oriented Field Extension Officers who can build strong relationships with cocoa farmers while supporting effective farm-level programmes and logistics. Role Overview As a Field Extension Officer, you will serve as a key link between Alliance Cocoa Program Ltd and cocoa farmers within your assigned communities. You will conduct regular field visits, engage farmers, support agricultural activities, collect and report field information, and help ensure that farm-related programmes and logistics reach farmers efficiently. The role requires someone who can work confidently in both field and office environments, communicate effectively with farmers and stakeholders, and manage field responsibilities with professionalism and accountability. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular visits to cocoa farms and farming communities within assigned areas. Build and maintain positive working relationships with cocoa farmers and community stakeholders. Support farmers with relevant information, guidance, and extension services. Assist with the implementation of cocoa-related programmes, projects, and field activities. Monitor farm activities and identify challenges affecting farmers and cocoa production. Collect accurate field data on farmers, farms, activities, inputs, production, and other relevant information. Maintain accurate and up-to-date farmer and farm records. Support farmer registration, verification, profiling, and documentation activities. Assist with the distribution and tracking of approved farm inputs, materials, and other resources. Monitor the use and delivery of farm-related inputs and report discrepancies promptly. Coordinate field logistics to ensure timely execution of farmer-support activities. Conduct field assessments and provide timely reports on findings and emerging issues. Organize and support farmer meetings, demonstrations, training sessions, and community engagements. Communicate programme requirements, schedules, and relevant information clearly to farmers. Identify farmer needs and escalate technical, operational, or logistical challenges to the appropriate team. Work closely with supervisors and other field teams to achieve programme targets. Prepare regular field reports and submit accurate information within required timelines. Use appropriate digital tools or systems to capture and submit field information where required. Support monitoring and evaluation activities across assigned communities. Follow organizational policies, field procedures, health and safety requirements, and professional standards. Represent Alliance Cocoa Program Ltd professionally when engaging farmers, community leaders, partners, and other stakeholders. Perform other field and administrative duties assigned by management. Qualifications & Requirements HND from an accredited polytechnic or university in Ghana. A Bachelor’s Degree will be an added advantage. Applicants from agriculture, agricultural extension, agribusiness, natural resources, logistics, development studies, or related disciplines will be an advantage. Previous experience in agricultural extension, cocoa farming, field operations, community development, or a related environment will be an advantage. Strong interest in working with cocoa farmers and rural communities. Ability to work efficiently in both office and field environments. Willingness to travel regularly within assigned communities and operational areas. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good organizational and record-keeping abilities. Ability to collect, manage, and report field information accurately. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital data-collection tools will be an advantage. Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with supervisors and team members. Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and willingness to learn.
