The restaurant is seeking a reliable, responsible, safety-conscious, and professional Driver to support its daily operations. The successful candidate will transport food, supplies, documents, staff, and other authorized items safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Role Overview As a Driver, you will support the restaurant’s operations by ensuring the safe and timely transportation of authorized personnel, food items, supplies, documents, and other materials. You will maintain the assigned vehicle in good condition, follow road-safety requirements, plan routes efficiently, and represent Kishitei Japanese Restaurant professionally whenever you interact with customers, suppliers, or members of the public. Key Responsibilities Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly for authorized business activities. Transport food, restaurant supplies, equipment, documents, and other items as assigned. Deliver orders and supplies to designated locations accurately and on time. Transport authorized staff or management when required. Plan routes efficiently and account for traffic, road conditions, and delivery schedules. Follow all applicable road traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable vehicle at all times. Conduct routine checks of the vehicle before and after use. Monitor fuel levels, tyre condition, oil levels, brakes, lights, and other basic vehicle requirements. Report vehicle faults, damage, accidents, or maintenance needs promptly. Coordinate vehicle servicing and maintenance with management when required. Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, deliveries, and other relevant information. Handle restaurant items and deliveries carefully to prevent loss or damage. Verify delivery items before departure and confirm successful delivery at the destination. Maintain confidentiality when transporting documents, food orders, supplies, or other company information. Assist with loading and unloading items when required. Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers, suppliers, restaurant staff, and other stakeholders. Support the restaurant team with other operational duties when required. Follow all company policies relating to health, safety, security, and vehicle use. Perform other driving and logistics-related duties assigned by management. Qualifications & Experience A valid Ghanaian driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle assigned. Applicants with relevant professional driving experience will be given preference. Experience in restaurant delivery, hospitality, logistics, courier services, or a similar environment will be an advantage. No previous experience? Training is available for suitable applicants. Good knowledge of roads and major locations within Accra will be an advantage. Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and road safety. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and delivery schedules accurately. Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality. Clean and professional driving habits. Ability to remain calm and courteous in traffic and under pressure. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, where required.
