This role provides an opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional to work in a welcoming environment while delivering excellent beverage service and creating positive experiences for our guests. Job Summary The Bartender will prepare and serve beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and responsible beverage service. The successful candidate will interact professionally with guests, maintain an organised bar area, manage beverage supplies, and ensure that every customer receives prompt and courteous service. Key Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards. Take beverage orders accurately and serve customers promptly. Recommend beverages based on customer preferences and provide clear information about available options. Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar area throughout each shift. Check beverage supplies, glassware, garnishes, and other bar materials and report shortages promptly. Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock counts and replenishment. Handle customer payments accurately and follow established cash-handling procedures. Maintain proper records of sales and beverage consumption as required. Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards at all times. Ensure responsible service of alcoholic beverages in accordance with applicable requirements and company policies. Respond professionally to customer requests, questions, and concerns. Work closely with kitchen, service, and management teams to ensure smooth restaurant operations. Clean and maintain bar equipment, utensils, glassware, and work surfaces. Minimise waste and use beverages and bar supplies responsibly. Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the establishment’s service standards. Perform other relevant duties assigned by management. Qualification Required & Experience HND qualification in Hospitality Management, Catering, Food and Beverage Management, or a related field. Previous experience as a Bartender, Bar Attendant, or in a similar hospitality role will be an advantage. Good knowledge of beverage preparation and presentation. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment. Good numerical skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle cash and customer transactions accurately. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Good knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices. Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional when handling customer concerns. Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn. Good personal grooming and professional presentation.
